2. Overview

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website and to handle your enquiries. We do not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services and do not embed third-party content (e.g. external fonts, maps or videos). Fonts are loaded locally from our server.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically processes technical data transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO. Log files are deleted or anonymised after a short period in accordance with the host's policies.

4. Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption (indicated by "https://" in the address bar).

5. Contact form and email

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optionally phone number, country, type of enquiry, timeframe and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. If you select this option in the form, we send a copy of your enquiry to the email address you provided. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The data is transmitted by email via STRATO's servers and deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. up to 6 or 8 years for business correspondence under German commercial and tax law). The data is not passed on to third parties.

6. Language cookie

When you choose a language or the website detects your browser language, we store a cookie "lp-lang" containing the language code (e.g. "en") for up to 12 months. It contains no personal data and serves solely to display the website in your preferred language. Storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); the legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can delete the cookie in your browser at any time.

Our expert articles link to sources from other providers. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider when you click such a link; their privacy policy then applies.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21).
